Job Description and Requirements:

Black Diamond, a product driven company, obsessed with innovation and product design, is hiring a Creative Manager to join our Marketing Department.

In this position, you will provide design, editorial, photographic, promotional planning and production resources to develop, maintain and evolve the visual identity of the our global brand and company.
The Creative Director is responsible for driving the creative vision and execution for all Black Diamond Marketing materials.

Essential Job Functions:
? Working in close collaboration with the Brand Manager and Marketing Manager, the Creative Director assists in the fabrication of Marketing planning, budgeting and vision.
? Responsible and authorized for oversight of all concept, design and execution of printed and electronic materials, initiating projects with thoughtful and clear creative briefs, effectively managing the creative process, assisting in the production of materials in accordance with the relevant schedules.
? Responsible and authorized to direct the work of staff Art Directors, Graphic Designers, the Content Manager, Photo Editor and production graphic artists and freelance designers.
? In partnership with the Brand Manager and Creative Team, the Creative Director is responsible for assisting Product Category Managers with the branding of all product categories.
? Responsible for participating in the selection of vendors and supervising press checks.

Qualifications:

Education:
? Required: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience:
? Required: 5 years as a Graphic Designer, Editor or creative agent.
? Preferred: 5+ years as an Art Director, previous experience as Creative Director.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
? Passionate climber and/or skier; Capable of articulating intimate familiarity with climbing and freeride skiing.
? Intimate knowledge and experience with Print and Electronic Media process from concept to creation.
? Expert electronic media design and development skills, a plus.
? Facility with creative process development; Proven ability to work effectively with a team.
? Expertise in communicating creative direction to diverse audiences: Strong leadership, listening, collaboration and presentation skills.
? Ability to work in an open workspace environment; Strong organizational skills.
? Work well under pressure and deadlines; Comfortable with change.
? Facility with Apple OS; Familiarity Adobe CS 2/3, Dreamweaver and other relevant software.
? Knowledge of and experience with Black Diamond products.
