About us

Our US-Headquarters located in Auburn, WA is around 30 people strong and geared to serve the North American market. HYDRO is expanding it's US operations and seeking experienced professionals to join it's team in an international environment.

Your Role as ?Quality Manager?

The goals of the position are to maintain and continuously improve product quality, and to lead the company in obtaining compliance to AS9100. Another key objective is to broaden the supplier base of the company by consequent supplier development. Due to the high content of military business you will also assist the operation and the sales team with all export controlled regulation topics (ITAR) as well as general project management. The position has direct daily interaction with production, purchasing, design engineering, sales, customers and suppliers. You will lead a team of two quality inspectors and report directly to the President.

Main Responsibilities:

* Maintain our quality system in accordance to ISO 9001:2000
* Lead the company towards compliance to AS 9100
* Planning and conducting of internal audits
* Project management of special projects
* Ensuring compliance to ITAR regulations
* Definition and implementation of corrective actions
* Monitoring and control of suppliers and supplier development in cooperation with production and purchasing
* Preparation and analysis of statistics
* Lead the inspection team

Requirements:

* BS in Engineering or related technical degree and 5 years in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance activities
* CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and knowledge of Aerospace/Military markets and applications preferred
* Knowledge and familiar with ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100
* Manufacturing experience, preferably with aerospace industry emphasis is a must
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* Must be able to work effectively under pressure, interact with all levels of staff, suppliers and customers, and manage multiple issues simultaneously
* Hands-on personality
* MS Office
* Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
* References required
