Job Description	Position Description: Working closely within a specialty automation environment, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of material handling equipment. This includes the synthesis of project requirements, development of alternate concepts, layouts, calculations and analysis. The Mechanical Design Engineer will prepare detailed drawings for fabrication and assembly and select associated components for purchase. Completing designs on budget and on schedule is an essential part of this position. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: • Self-motivated Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng) • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in machinery design in an automation environment • Proficient in 3D modelling (Inventor) • Attention to detail • Proven analytical aptitude and experience with pneumatic and servo systems • Experience in Finite Element Analysis and design simulation of structures • Excellent communication skills • Good team skills • A proven performance record • Passion for working with other enthusiastic professionals in a team environment
