POSITION SUMMARY: The successful Senior Business Development Professional will develop business opportunities by identifying client needs and selling dedicated transportation to sales prospects. Through cold-calling and enterprise sales activities, the successful candidate will maintain strong client relationships while meeting set sales targets. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Identify dedicated transportation sales opportunities by identifying sales leads, evaluating their needs, and delivering solutions Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance to enhance client service Participate in RFP processes Resolve customer issues by investigating, evaluating and settling complaints and claims Liaise with internal partners to correct discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information Prepare sales budgets and reports and analyze all variances Meet sales objectives Maintain professional, technical knowledge by remaining current on industry trends and the competition Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Some travel required Assume any other assigned and related tasks as directed SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS In addition to initiative, integrity, strong work ethic and being a team player: Minimum 3-5 years related dedicated transportation sales experience Proven track record of dedicated services sales success Minimum Secondary School Graduation Diploma Post Secondary training in Transportation / Logistics or equivalent combination of experience & training preferred Superior presentation, communication, interpersonal and computer skills Building strong relationships Adaptable to change, ability to thrive in fast paced environment Self-motivated
