POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Supervisor will lead employees in the on-time movement of all shipments while ensuring company and regulatory policies and procedures are followed at all times. The successful candidate will continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies while ensuring client satisfaction. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Plan and schedule staff to ensure the on-time delivery of all shipments Coordinate equipment and shipments by communicating with dispatch teams and dock staff Organize distribution of break loads to achieve cut time goals Monitor service freight and ensure cut time compliance Assist with rate quotes, claim information and scheduling appointments Perform administrative operations functions Monitor performance data to prepare reports Identify any weight and freight classification errors Identify and process all OS&D Comply with all applicable laws & regulations and company policies & procedures Lead, train and develop employees Provide clean and safe working conditions Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiencies Assist other Supervisors as needed Other duties as required SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS In addition to initiative, integrity, strong work ethic and being a team player: Minimum Grade 12 education Minimum 2 years LTL or related experience Previous leadership experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Proficient in use of MS Office suite
