Title: Heavy equipment operator ( Remediation and Reclamation Work ) Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full Time, On Call, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening Salary: To be negotiated Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Edmonton, Alberta (1 vacancy) Skill Requirements: Education: Not required Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness Training), Driver''s License (Class 1 or A), Power Line Hazardous Training Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Backhoe excavator, loader, Bulldozer, large or small, Front end loader, Grader, Loader, Dump trucks, Gravel truck Type of Work Experience: Fine grading and finishing, Sloping and banking, Backfilling, Ditching, Excavating, Land clearing, Rough grading, Stripping, Sub-grade excavating, Trenching, Material handling, Slope grooming Work Setting / Industry Experience: Oil and Gas Well Sites Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment Additional Skills: Utilize material safety data sheets (MSDS), Complete onboard and other logs, Prepare accident reports Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety vest Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail Work Site Environment: Outdoors Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly, Valid driver''s licence Work Location Information: Various locations Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others Other: Must have significant experience digging lines and finishing experience. Must have a Class 1 License. Must have IRP 16, H2S Alive, GD II, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, and must be current and updated.
