Suggested Degree Level: Bachelor General Comments: The registered nurse is responsible for coordinating the nursing care of patients in order to provide quality patient care to patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. The RN applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs. The RN utilizes the nursing process and follows policies and procedures. The RN provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Holds a current license in the state of Wyoming; permissible to work with a temporary license for a specified period of time. Has the ability to plan, direct and/or implement and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients. Has good clinical skills and judgment. Has the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with EMS, physicians, nurses and other hospital ancillary staff. Crisis management of critical patients. Will complete a skills checklist within 90 days of hire. Has current CPR card. ACLS current. PALS STABLE or NALS Professional competence of hemodynamic monitoring (Central venous pressure lines and arterial lines). This includes set-up, maintenance and monitoring. Certification in CCRN or CEN desirable, but not mandatory. Hospital-wide staffing and chain of command EKG monitoring certification
