Job Description	Must be local to TX. Required Experience: * Design and Develop highly reliable scalable Enterprise Solutions (with specific focus on business logic and communication layer) Web Services / Network protocols TCP/IP, HTTP, sockets etc. * Experience at creating technical design documents from concepts and evolving requirements. * Perform formal testing, create and maintain documentation ensuring solution quality * Exchange ideas freely between developers and stakeholders. Qualifications: BS or MS in Computer Science or related field of study 6-10 years experience developing applications with: Java software development experience in a UNIX/Linux environment * candidates with strong Linux programming background are preferred * Java/J2EE (1.5+). Experience with Java 1.6 features a plus * IDE Eclipse * JSP (1.2+) and Servlets (2.3+) * SQL and JDBC * Web Services , * XML / XSLT, X/HTML * CVS, Subversion, or similar 4+ years experience developing applications using: * UNIX / Linux and related scripting * JPA * JAXB * JTSL * AJAX * Jakarta Log4j * Apache Ant * C++ programming * Ability to pick concepts quickly, self-motivated, discipline, must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. * Able to multitask and switch focus easily * Must possess an excellent command Firm grasp of object and aspect-oriented design and programming practices and patterns MVC, DAO etc. * Understanding of enterprise level project architecture, the development lifecycle, and post production support * Designing and developing Web Services using SOAP / REST * Maintain source code and underlying data through the use of version control systems SVN and CVS * Experience developing application using network protocols * Experience modeling data for RDBMS, familiar with common vendors database administration tools, understanding vendor specific database implementations * Experience working within a Test Driven Development environment with automated unit and functional testing tools, and the ability to write and execute test plans * Solid application performance optimization and debugging techniques * Experience in managing development and production environment including database and application servers, Tomcat, JBoss etc * Database Development Oracle / DB2 views, triggers, and stored procedures Desired Experience: * Knowledge of scripting languages esp. Python (or Perl) * Experience in designing and building
