Job Description	Years of Experience: 5 Bachelor''s Degree This is an engineering role within a highly distributed global enterprise organization. This position will be a part of a team which provides 24 X 7 -L3 application support for Regulatory & Financial applications for North America and Europe as well as service the overall integration needs for all of Corporate Technology. This is a demanding role requiring attention to detail, good organization skills and a self-motivated, team player. The ability to collaborate and communicate with development teams is essential. The solutions engineer will be responsible for oversight of CorpTech infrastructure lifecycle, capacity and utilization reporting, and implementation of new systems. The S.E is responsible for providing a global, infrastructure strategy that can seamlessly support a particular businesses technology requirements, while mitigating risks and being cost effective. Skills Required: - A minimum of seven years experience in a technical discipline where infrastructure support and design was key to success. - Ability to influence other technical disciplines and business unit decision makers. - Strong Microsoft server operating system knowledge 2003/2008 - Ability to write technical and operational documentation (system design and engineering documents, build documentation - Industry server hardware knowledge (HP, Dell, IBM) - strong knowledge of networking concepts - Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies - Understanding of SQL Server 2005 - Strong interpersonal Skills - Communication, flexibility, self driven, team player - In-depth knowledge of various technical disciplines and posses an ability to quickly understand technical issues - Bachelors degree or releted experience Skills Desired: - Informatica - ETL - Exposure to Linux - Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMWare, Citrix) - Microsoft Cluster Server - BEA WebLogic / TomCat
